Not Falling Apart Lyrics
Danced all night and slept all day
Careless with my heart again
Fearless when it comes to playing games
You don’t cry and you don’t care
Afraid to have a love affair
Is that your ghost or are you really there?
Now I can’t walk, I can’t talk anymore
Since you walked out the door
And now I’m stuck living out that night again
I’m not falling apart
Wither on a sunny day
Time slows down; I wish you’d stayed
Pass me by in crowded, dark hallways
I try my hardest not to scream
I find my heart is growing weak
So leave your reasons on the bathroom sink
Now I can’t walk, I can’t talk anymore
Since you walked out the door
And now I’m stuck living out that night again
I’m not falling apart
I heard you say you needed me now
What’s the problem; I can’t see
You destroyed me, I won’t fall apart again
I’m not falling apart
Take what you want
And I will be just fine
You’ll be better off alone at night
Waiting and falling
Constantly calling out your name
Will it ever change?
Now I can’t walk, I can’t talk anymore
Since you walked out the door
And now I’m stuck living out that night again
I’m not falling apart
I heard you say you needed me now
What’s the problem; I can’t see
You destroyed me, I won’t fall apart again
I’m not falling apart
Careless with my heart again
Fearless when it comes to playing games
Afraid to have a love affair
Is that your ghost or are you really there?
Since you walked out the door
And now I’m stuck living out that night again
I’m not falling apart
Time slows down; I wish you’d stayed
Pass me by in crowded, dark hallways
I find my heart is growing weak
So leave your reasons on the bathroom sink
Since you walked out the door
And now I’m stuck living out that night again
I’m not falling apart
What’s the problem; I can’t see
You destroyed me, I won’t fall apart again
I’m not falling apart
And I will be just fine
You’ll be better off alone at night
Waiting and falling
Constantly calling out your name
Will it ever change?
Since you walked out the door
And now I’m stuck living out that night again
I’m not falling apart
What’s the problem; I can’t see
You destroyed me, I won’t fall apart again
I’m not falling apart

One of my all time favorite songs and lyrics.
The worst feeling is when you lose someone who is not coming back - you just feel shattered. This song is about someone trying to not fall apart - holding themselves together. But that is just the thing you can't hold yourself together - no one can under those circumstances. You just feel paralyzed. You feel like you can’t talk or walk.
Something about this song is so pleasant yet disturbing. For the most part I think it's about a relationship gone astray. By astray, I mean that both parties involved got to a point where all they could do was argue-- One that cares too much and someone else who doesn't care enough.
He's obviously caring too much in the song. It's not so much that he'll be fine, he'll be okay, but he's trying to convince himself that everything will be alright. He doesn't want to replay that final argument they had because it'll hurt him again. She's left and all he can do is sit and convince himself nothing is wrong, that he's alright, that he's literally, not falling apart.
It's about 2 friends who've ended up sleeping with each other. One develops feelings for the other, whereas the other doesn't want anything more. They continue to have a sexual relationship, and to the singer's dismay, the "friend" has not developed anything and just sees it as sex. Throughout the explanation, I've put friend in parenthesis, because this friend isn't really a friend. A friend is someone who doesn't use another, especially when such deep feelings are involved.
Please excuse the super long explanation, by the way. This may not all be accurate, I may just be projecting. But, whatever. That's what music is for, people will interpret things differently.

"Kill us with my heart again Feel this when it comes to playing games" ???
I mean, seriously, so wrong. Try this: "Careless with my heart again Fearless when it comes to playing games
i think this song is about two people in a relationship and he was in denial that anything was wrong and he was just kind of careless. eventually she got tired of it and left and then he realized how much he really needed her. and he just cant forget the night she left him when he realized how much she meant.
I think he's singing about how a girl left him. He's totally heart broken and "falling apart", but he's trying to convince him self that hes not. He's having a hard time still though.
this song is about adam being lonely because his girlfriend left and trying to keep it together
I think they're making a reference to The Police with this song. I think it's just about trying to keep it together when someone leaves a lot of damage.
he's in denial..he loved this girl but she didn't love him back.. he's trying to forget about her but he cant.. he basically heartbroken and trying to convince himself that he's not falling apart.. I love the part "u destroyed me..i won't fall apart again" kind of like his declaration that he won't have it again
I do like this song. He's just trying to tell himself, "Don't fall apart, man! Keep it together over this chick!"
The chorus is my fave, and I've even grown to like the parts where he's like "Oooh oooh ooh ooh" between lines.
