When I first heard this song I did a double-take. It's like a cross between New Order, The Cure, VNV Nation, and The Postal Service.. haha. I know Nick 13 is heavily influenced by 80's new wave and synthpop - so I understand why this song was made, it just surprised me. It doesn't sound like traditional Tiger Army at all...
...but I quite like it and I think all the Tiger Army, MOZ fans will really embrace this one.
It may be interesting to note that "Cold, Cold Rain" is a song that appears on 'the lost tracks of danzig'
The only saving grace from that God awful album. This song gets a 12/10, everything else on it gets a -12.
This is one of my favourite songs on this album. A friend bought it before me and told me there was a very Joy Division song on it. This started to play and I knew automatically what he was talking about...this song.
It was weird, today I was feeling horrible and this came to mind after I sent that friend a message.
when i got the album i wasn't overly impressed by what i'd heard up to this song then i was just speechless (not that i was discussing it with anyone at the time), I couldnt believe the band who wrote "outlaw heart" could come up with a pile of horse-shit like this! Then a few days later i found i wanted to hear it again and was really annoyed to find i actually liked it!!! Its got quite an infectious chorus. I like it even though its so poppy and not any of the things i like tiger army for.
