Velvet rolls royce Lyrics
And that day you talked to me I waited so patiently
For what you gave, when you gave
Send my boy, its not a toy
When I drove a steel Rolls Royce
Now I know, what it is
Ever since this summers lost
Now I start to count the cars
What you did,what you did
Still to still to sinking hands
A boy would soon become a man
Now I know why it is
Now I
Know why
Now I
Know why it is
Now I
Know why
Now I
Know that is
And that day you talked to me I waited so patiently
For what you gave, when you gave
Send my boy, its not a toy
When I drove a steel Rolls Royce
Now I know, what it is
Ever since this summers lost
Never stop to count the cars
What you did,what you did
Still to still to sinking hands
A boy would soon become a man
Now I know why it is
Now I
Know why
Now I
Know why it is
For what you gave, when you gave
Send my boy, its not a toy
When I drove a steel Rolls Royce
Now I know, what it is
Ever since this summers lost
Now I start to count the cars
What you did,what you did
Still to still to sinking hands
A boy would soon become a man
Now I know why it is
Now I
Know why
Now I
Know why it is
Now I
Know why
Now I
Know that is
And that day you talked to me I waited so patiently
For what you gave, when you gave
Send my boy, its not a toy
When I drove a steel Rolls Royce
Now I know, what it is
Ever since this summers lost
Never stop to count the cars
What you did,what you did
Still to still to sinking hands
A boy would soon become a man

Know why
Now I
Know why it is

I Tried My Best so here you guys go another from the Consumation enjoy
i think the lyrics may be wrong... isn't it "Said my boy, its not a toy" instead of "Send my boy, its not a toy"? i dont know for sure but i think it makes more sense...
i think you need to know about the past of the singer, his son was killed by his wife. so this song is talking about how he found out his son died and when remembering about giving him a toy car, the dad realizes the the only rolls royce his son will be driving is a velvet rolls royce (which would be a nice coffin). when he says now a boy becomes a man, its saying how much he grew as a person from that experience. summers lost shows that the son died
i think i may have messed up... the beginning of the song when he says: "And that day you talked to me I waited so patiently For what you gave, when you gave"
that may mean when he found out he was going to be a dad? anymore ideas other then mine?
I feel much the same way, but I'm pretty sure he says "Said my boy Its not a toy. A red and Velvet Steel Rolls Royce" but im listening to it on Re-Iterate. I never got the chance for the original Consumation.
on that day you talked to me I waited so patiently For what you gave, when you gave Said my boy, its not a toy a red and velvet steel Rolls Royce Now I know, what it is Ever since this summers lost Never stop to count the cost What you did, what you did Still bestowed to sinking hands A boy would soon become a man
these are the correct lyrics.
coffin theory is exactly what i think too, but i still cant put it all together. i definately think a red and velvet rolls royce is a metaphor for a nice coffin.
Velvet Rolls Royce isn't a metaphor for a coffin. They actually have hearses that are Rolls Royce. I believe this song is about the car ride in the hearse to bury his son. "Stop to count the cars" meaning the cars in the funeral precession.
THIS is only PART 1 of what this was supposed to be..
How sweet right? no... Dead man lying in a velvet coffin, waiting to hear the words for GOODBYE by the person he wanted to hear them by the most... Where are they??
FIRST-HAND knowledge -- can you figure out part 2?
