The Other Side Lyrics
There’s a light and a darkened road
There’s a night and a fading hope
There was a dream that once was mine
But now it seems it has passed with time
Sail away my little sister
Sail away to the other side
Sail away my little sister
Sail away far into the night
Where times seems much better
Than this void called life
There’s a voice inside my head
There was a hope, now now long since dead
It’s all a wonder, will I abide
I hear you calling from the other side
There’s a night and a fading hope
There was a dream that once was mine
But now it seems it has passed with time
Sail away to the other side
Sail away my little sister
Sail away far into the night
Where times seems much better
Than this void called life
There was a hope, now now long since dead
It’s all a wonder, will I abide
I hear you calling from the other side

The song is either straightforward, about the death of a loved one, or, the option I prefer, its maybe about someone saying good bye to their hopes and dreams that she had as a child - the little sister is herself, and she's giving up on her hopes and dreams; saying that that child inside has died, and she's sending her to the other side, which seems better than "the void called life" that she's mired in. She keeps hearing her dreams calling, but knowing they're dead, by 'sending them to the other side', she keeps them pure and sort of saves that innocent younger self from the tainted, hopeless world she now lives in. IDK if that's possibly what it really means, but that's how I heard it.
It seems to be a song about a little sister who died, and is therefore passing to "the other side" IMO. Btw, does anyone know what the words are that the choir sing in the middle? That's the best part! :D
@callistorising hey, I've been searching the Internet a bit and all I found was:de da ne ti to si leo ne ti to ne po. Which means "do not fear, do not fear to give out if the timing might not be able to.

The song is about a loved one passing away, and if you seen the video. The little girl get's into the boat. Its talking about how Viking's use to send their dead out to sea. That is where " Sail away " comes in at. Its a very lovely song.
Oh.. And about the words in the best part of the song.. I have no idea.. I have been trying to figure out what they are my self
