Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Lyrics

Oh, the weather outside is frightful
But the fire is so delightful
And since we've no place to go
Let it snow let it snow let it snow

Man it doesn't show signs of stopping
And I brought some corn for popping
The lights are turned down low
Let it snow let it snow

When we finally kiss goodnight
How I'll hate going out in the storm
But if you really hold me tight
All the way home I'll be warm

And the fire is slowing dying
And my dear we're still good-byeing
But as long as you'd love me so
Let it snow let it snow let it snow

When we finally kiss goodnight
How I'll hate going out in the storm
But if you really grab me tight
All the way home I'll be warm

And the fire is slowing dying
And my dear we're still good-byeing
But as long as you'd love me so
Let it snow let it snow let it snow

Cover art for Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow! lyrics by Dean Martin

I used to play this on the large 4-legged radio/stereo my parents had when I was a child; I would play the Firestone Christmas album (which song was on) over and over again...getting up from the couch to move the needle back to the beginning. New England winters could be rough...waiting for the plow to come followed by the salt truck...stuck inside until the roads were cleared. I used to listen to this song and think about becoming an adult who was in love and had that special someone to enjoy the cold and snowy holiday season with (oh, the innocent and hopeful dreams of a female child:)

Oh man listening to you recall is like stepping back with you. :) Most everyone on this site has no idea what a record player is let alone a "needle" that isn't a syringe. :| I remember the ice storms. Argh...rough-yes.
