Saturday Superhouse Lyrics

I'll be sitting on the left side
You'll be sitting on the right
Dying to share our problems
Make everything alright
Then I see a darkness
You see the blinding light
Will Oldham's in the corner moaning
"Can't you write your own lines"

If we don't know where we belong
It'll make no difference from where we started
Look out kid cause here it comes
You're not the lucky ones

There's a dozen corpses on the left side
I swear ones smiling at me
Compliments on your confession baby
Wow you really showed me
You think you're full of conviction
Really you're just trying to survive
Tie them up then slit them out
It's good to help the boy shine

i dunno why people like old stuff better, miby lyrics where a bit darker but this is so much more of a catchy rock sound, commercial sure? but thats not a bad thing? i hope it isnt just the scene kids knowing their band is making it big. cuz i hate that the new album is fantastic i look forward to buying it.

Who cares if it's a more commercial sound - it's still a great sound. It's still one of my favourite Biffy songs.

yeah, their older stuff was more complex (lyrically and with heavier riffs, screams etc...) I still prefer the old stuff but the new album is fantastic! Simon's vocals sound really heart-felt throughout.

This song is nice.

But the accoustic version they did for Kerrang! is absolutely phenomenal =) see:~ http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=mPNsbqatPok

this song is amazing - always get me going. their old sound is pretty much a mash up, that only sometimes works, whereas there new stuff is must slicker and together sounding

A mash up? What are you on about? Their old stuff is some of the most amazing pieces of music ever created. Vertigo of Bliss IS a perfect album, mixing intricate riffs, beautiful harmonies and moments of utter madness to create brilliance.

Puzzle, by contrast, is Biffy sounding like the Foo Fighters. They still sound good, and the songs are ok (better live), but it's just not what Biffy are.

The lyrics too sadly, seemed to have been dumbed down slightly, with not a lot left to the imagination. At least Simon's literary influences still come through though.

Haha, I can't believe it's taken me 2 years to spot the Bonnie Prince Billy reference here.

Given that it says Will Oldham, neither can I.

Listening to this, it would seem that Simon agrees with Rodders. Pity - I hoped he had grown up enough to realise that you don't need to scream to make a point. Sorry Rodders, you're right - there are moments of brilliance, but not enough to make me buy any of the three previous albums.
