October Lyrics

October, October
The summer is over
I'm going through changes
I see you again

It's so thought-provoking
Emotion-evoking
I can't turn around
I don't want to pretend

You stand in my way
With nothing to say
You think it's ok
I'm so lost without you
I'm sorry my friend
This is not the end
I'll do it without you
I'll do it again

October, October
The summer is over
I'm moving in circles
I'm trying to come in

It's my evolution
the only solution
the torment it's all that
I'm holding within

You stand in my way
With nothing to say
You think it's ok
I'm so lost without you
I'm sorry my friend
This is not the end
I'll do it without you
I'll do it again

You stand in my way
You've nothing to say
You think it's ok
I'm so lost without you
I'm sorry my friend
This is not the end
I'll do it without you
I'll do it again

Don't stand in my way
With nothing to say
And think it's ok
I'm so lost without you
I'm sorry my friend
This is not the end
I'll do it without you
I'll do it again

Well, I know a lot of people say it's not... but I've thought a lot of times this could be about The Cranberries itself... breaking up and going for a solo career. I mean, they splitted around October. Plus, all the lyrics fit, somehow.

Anyways, this is my favorite song of the album, it's just so so awesome :)

this song may be about after losing a boyfriend, you try to get him out of your mind and try to be more and more a woman - feminism. cool song!! love cranberries&dolores!!

also a lot of her songs sound angry... this one and Stay With Me especially

Hmm, I believe it's "tormented soul" instead of "torment it's all".
