Black Whistler Lyrics
Two shots in the morning, take it easy on yourself
A banging head from yesterday
Pidgeons flap so freely, now the landlord kicks the door
Fetch your chair, it's not that hard
Cause we're so happy
I said we're happy at being sad
So wake up, oh wake up
Cause I don't wanna fight with you no more
Wake up, foh wake up
Well we'll forget about the jungle on the floor
We can forget about the jungle on the floor
Warmth is for my love for, and the other for my hate
I guess that really sums us up
Cause we're so happy
I said we're happy at being sad
So wake up, oh wake up
Cause I don't wanna fight with you no more
I said now wake up, oh wake up
Well we'll forget about the jungle on the floor
We can forget about the jungle on the floor
We can forget about the jungle on the floor
A banging head from yesterday
Pidgeons flap so freely, now the landlord kicks the door
Fetch your chair, it's not that hard
I said we're happy at being sad
Cause I don't wanna fight with you no more
Wake up, foh wake up
Well we'll forget about the jungle on the floor
We can forget about the jungle on the floor
I guess that really sums us up
I said we're happy at being sad
Cause I don't wanna fight with you no more
I said now wake up, oh wake up
Well we'll forget about the jungle on the floor
We can forget about the jungle on the floor
We can forget about the jungle on the floor

oops, there is a mistake where it says ''warmth is for my love for, and the other for my hate'' its actually... ''warmth is for my lover, and the other for my hate''
sorry bout that. still not sure if its foh. hm, if anyone knows, post it up. this is an awesome song. xD
sweet song. no clue on what it could mean though.
i think its about apathy and how happy it can make you.. but its kinda saddening at the same time
"It's not that hard" is actually "stop that whore". Lyrics printed in the Japanese edition have the chorus as "fool wake up" but they're not always correct. Also, pigeons FLY.
Simply said, this song is about a heartbreak and how the artist describes his feeling about his lover. The first two lines talks about the drinking problems some face during a heartbreak. He's trying to convince himself by saying, 'take it easy on yourself'. Next he describes how badly he wants her to be with him. 'Landlord kicks the door' (presumably, to close it.). Then there's the next line, which I feel should be, 'place the chair and stop that whore.' This again describes about trying to not let her go. The next stanza is a bit sarcastic. Mostly people tell their close-bys that they're happy with the break up, but they're indeed sad. He then tells her to come to ger senses and realize that. He says he wants to end this argument and forget about it, which clears the line, 'we can forget about the jungle on the floor', i.e., the mess they have created. Then he talks about how he still has 'warmth' for this lover who hates him now. Pretty much a heart felt composition by Mr. Sergio Pizzorno. I used some of the lyrics while chatting with my love interest with whom I had an argument. Worked for me. It has been some time since someone last commented. This may go unnoticed, but well, I love Kasabian and look forward to decipher their (somewhat) complicated lyrics.
