This is my fave hale song. It's about having a long distance relationship in my opinion.

The Ballad Of talks about being in a long distance relationship. At first the guy is saying that he always gets hurt in the relationships that he's been in and he's sort of doubting the long distance relationship because the girl is faraway but on the 2nd verse up to the last part, he realizes that love is more important than distance.
