this song is pretty much amazing!
to me it's about a girl who is trying to get over a relationship that is over, but she's holding on because it's too hard to let go, and something is always getting in her way.
Yeah, I agree. It seems like it's about wanting something to be over, but at the same time not allowing or letting it happen. ("there's always something in your way")

Agreed, I think this song has to do with the inability to let go of a relationship and/or a person. It has to do with a failed relationship--where the woman (addiction and HER name) had the upperhand. She inevittably hurt the songwriter, but now she cant let go. She always had the choice in the situation, but perhaps she realized what she had after it was gone. Especially the second verse.. He is saying its really not that hard to turn away and let go, but its so much easier to keep the past relationship with you. He wants it to be over, he wants it to be done so they can both move on but theres always something preventing that from actually happening.
