this is one of my fave songs on the album! yeh im really sure avril lavigne is bothered about coming across as a "hiphop badass". ok sure. like she doesn't already have an awesome image. she's experimenting like most artists do and she's having fun. i dont get why people go so crazy about how its not all deep n stuff, who gives one?! there are plenty of songs with deep meanings to listen to. this song and the rest of the album is good to sing along to, dance to, whatever. love it.

OK so the beginning of the song I personally don't like. But I like the song as a whole. First of all the guitar in the beginning is awesome! It sounds kinda eighties to me. But then again I wasn't alive in the 80s so...haha. I like how in some of the choruses, after "I don't have to try" you can hear her go "Don't have to, don't have to" And I also love the "Huhh!" at the end of the first one. But Avril? No more screamo k?

I can honestly say, I've never, ever laughed at a song that wasn't being intentionally funny or that my friends and I didn't skew the lyrics to... but O.M.G. this song is atrocious. I nearly burst out laughing at 2 in the morning, which would have woken up my roommate, who I can only assume would have been far less amused, lol.

You people have to understand that Avril Lavigne likes change. That’s who she is and that’s what she’s always been like. She went from tomboy, to a darker clothing style, and now to a more bubble gum punk pop.

Personally, I think that’s great! She’s not trying to please anyone, and she’s not trying to suck up to her record label or anyone else.

This is coming from someone who used to HATE her with a passion. I used to be like “Avril Lavigne is a waste of music and she’s obviously a poser and she’s too PINK and blablabla.”

Whateveeeer. None of you can change her by wishing she would.

I love her new independent anthems like “I Don’t Have To Try” and “I Can Do Better”, and every other song she’s written.

If you can’t write better stuff or sing better, than I suggest you all shut your mouths immediately.

And, what may sound bratty about her to some people just sounds like the ability to tell people to buzz off to me.

Avril's trying to be some badass, trying out Hip Hop now? This is fucking terrible TRASH. And this is coming from someone who's bought her past two albums. barf I understand that Pop music isn't generally "deep" lyrically speaking, but this new shit is horrible.

i totally agree the new stuff suck there are maybe a couple of exceptions
