I actually know some girl in my school that KNOWS them. It's pretty awesome. (: And this song as well.
First off, their band broke up because first, their bassist left the band to pursue a career. Then a few months later, their rhythm guitar player left the band to go do other things with his life.
And I think this song is more about becoming famous and getting caught up in the party like a rockstar life style with all the sex drugs and booze. That he gets caught up in all of that and forgets whats really important to him.
i think they are talking about human sins and how this earth is going to burn at the end of the world like it says in the bible...

i agree, the song is probably about hollywood, and getting caught up in fame and everything that comes with it. pierce the veil is one of my favourite bands of all time.
