Bicycles Lyrics

Service suspended
Service shall resume
Service running late again
Service running smooth
This place becomes so lonely, with these feeling of mistrust
The monsters in the corners who made us feel we must

Spot the train, train
Spotter
Spot the train, and stop the monster

And everyone's buying bicycles
They went and bought bicycles

City looking empty
City running scared
Cities got new friends
That they cities really cared
Looks a trifle shifty, and their not about to change
Cos no one likes what they are not, so slowly we estrange

Spot the train, train
Spotter
Spot the train, spot the monster

The quickest route to paradise
Such a short commute to paradise
And a sharp salute to paradise

And everyone's buying bicycles

Most definately related to terrorism. "The quickest route to paradise Is a short commute to paradise And a sharp salute to paradise" Muslim extremist terrorism is based around the idea that once they have martyred themselves to kill the 'infidels' they will be sent to paradise where there are 72 virgins....waheyyy! (u probably all knew that...just wanted to make sure.

My interpretation which i feel quite confident about is that it is an attack on the terrorism and saying how it has affected london. "Space becomes so lonely, with these feeling of mistrust Because the monster in the cupboard has made us feel we must" This talks about how we don't speak on the trains because there is so much mistrust due to bombers.

My Interpretation

Pretty obvious- but this one's about being fed up with public transport (trains namely), and everyone buying bicycles.

isnt it "spot the train, trainspotter-ooooh!" ?

this song, i think, is about the london bombings... "spot the train, spot the monster" referring to the terrorists basically just refers to what i think are the 7/7 bombings all the way through the song

i think its that everyone nowadays is so pararnoid about everything. things are so unpredictable (first verse) meaning that no one trusts anything anymore: "cause no one likes what they're not" maybe the paranoia stems from the bombing, but i think now its just become second nature for people not to trust anyone anymore because of society in general. the first time it says stop the monster not spot but i dont know why and im pretty sure it does say trainspotter ooooooh, thats the best bit :)

it's about drug use...trainspotting refers to finding the vein and what not...and a trainspotter is one who uses the veins in order to get their fix
