Dead Again Lyrics
First to admit I'm a doomed droog addict
And I always will be, hey man don't follow me
No excuse for drug abuse
Said these lines a thousand times
Don't want to live atrial fib from neurosis, cerosis
Please make me smile if you learn from my trial
Baby I'll pay the price maybe saving your life for ya
I can't state this point enough
The pickup's easy but the put down's rough
Up the nose or tap a vein no one els but you to blame
I can't believe I died last night. Oh God I'm dead again.
I can't believe I died last night. I'm fucking dead again.
Chemical joy turning thee paranoid
Recently buried deeply Greenwood Cemetery
I had no pulse last time I checked
I'd trade my life for self respect
There are some things worse than death
I can't believe I died last night. Oh God I'm dead again.
I can't believe I died last night. I'm fucking dead again.
And I always will be, hey man don't follow me
No excuse for drug abuse
Said these lines a thousand times
Don't want to live atrial fib from neurosis, cerosis
Baby I'll pay the price maybe saving your life for ya
I can't state this point enough
The pickup's easy but the put down's rough
Up the nose or tap a vein no one els but you to blame

my fav song off Dead again, when i was first listening to it i was like i dunno if i like it, but it grew on me quick....
Im assuming its about a drug addiction or an OD i dunno great song none the less, suprised there is no comments on this shit. good song.
RIP. I can't believe he died last night.
This song is about his battles with cocaine abuse. He said in interviews that every time he woke up after a night of falling off the wagon and doing cocaine, he felt like like he had died. "Please make me smile if you learn from my trial - Baby I'll pay the price maybe saving your life for ya" is obvious. He would feel better about himself after his bouts with addiction if the rest of us would learn from him and NOT DO COCAINE! Don't ever try it because quitting it is monumentally harder.
R E S P E C T ! Every single line of this song is simply - great!
p.s. How come tOn songs have such a few comments?
yeah and i was surprised at how long it took for the lyrics to this great album took to come up. Great song on a Great album.
Its about his bouts with cocain and heroin, having an O.D. dying like Nikki Sixx did.
Oh yeah true to popular beleif Nikki Sixx came back to life... and is still alive now as we speak 3/24/2007 7:15 est.
Whats weird, but in a benign way, is that this song is a tad over 4 minutes long and still seems punkish and short in context with the other great (epic/long) songs on this great album.
didn't find out about this CD until the day before it came out, then I got it when it came out. Type O 2007 and still kicking ass. I have but three other Type O albums but this is by far their best effort, from what I know, IMO.
"I can't believe I died last night, I'm fucking Dead Again"
yeah.
In an Interview Peter said its about walking up after a night out and feeling like shit
Is 'droog' from A Clockwork Orange, or slang I'm not familiar with? :D
I think its a spelling mistake on LordDionysius's behalf, its just meant to be drug

It's spelt 'droog' in all the other lyrics I've found. LordDionysius is acquitted.

the droog-addict means you are addicted to seeking approval from your 'friends', who also happen to be in the same lost state. So you fall back to the vices which hold you captive in your own mind. Media then tramples over your sick-mind, stamping it down, attempting to prevent nature's wrath becoming realized. 'Dead Again' is rewording/redefining/he's trying to make Christianity pallettable to those so consumed by their own confused, media-driven concepts of what Christianity has been characterized as. 'born again' I take "I can't believe I died last night, oh God I'm dead again" to mean that he can't believe how...

'born again' I take "I can't believe I died last night, oh God I'm dead again" to mean that he can't believe how easy it is to pull the wool over someone's eyes. Myself, having achieved 'dead again' status less than a week ago, now: There is an incredible desire to 'be' a role model, for your droogs. They will soon disappear, I'm likely to find out. When you die again, you realize the fundamental & suicidal mistake that you have been making.
Seems to be alluding to his heart condition in the first verse. Atrial Fib is heart flutters or palpitations.
