No matter where you aim or what's your game
We're all the same you just can't miss
No matter what you earn you'll feel the burn
The screw will turn a notch like this
No amount of hesitation, no amount of preparation gets you off
If you hate the destination..enjoy the journey cos you can't get off

All out of time
No chance of maybe
Blood on the line
Here comes the one

Don't look
Don't think
Don't flinch
It's heading right here

No matter right or left it's all straight on it's all to come on a night like this
No matter what you heard you've never heard a human make a sound like this

All out of time
No chance of maybe
Blood on the line
Here comes the one

Don't look
Don't think
Don't flinch
It's heading right here

Don't stop move it along on now
Don't stop move it along on

Do amount of careful thought or gentle sport can keep the door ajar a bit
No amount of incantation...no grateful nation took the sting of it
No soft inside big slide outside little red Hammer stewardess to get you out
No amount of presentation....no artist ever painted darkness out

No one in here needs a ticket
Choose your carriage get right in it.

Standing On The Edge Of Summer
Thursday
In regards to the meaning of this song: Before a live performance on the EP Five Stories Falling, Geoff states “It’s about the last time I went to visit my grandmother in Columbus, and I saw that she was dying and it was the last time I was going to see her. It is about realizing how young you are, but how quickly you can go.” That’s the thing about Geoff and his sublime poetry, you think it’s about one thing, but really it’s about something entirely different. But the lyrics are still universal and omnipresent, ubiquitous, even. So relatable. That’s one thing I love about this band. I also love their live performances, raw energy and Geoff’s beautiful, imperfectly perfect vocals. His voice soothes my aching soul.
