We Danced Together Lyrics
We danced together on the roof at the party,
5 stories removed from the trouble on the street
the sun arose revealing goose bumps on your arm
A sign that we should move together somewhere warm.
Chorus:
- we danced together.(repeat...)
We moved to the street where they tried to hold curfew
and ran among the debris as the bullets flew.
Helicopters circled overhead to get a better view
We found a doorway, fell in and I held you.
Chorus:
- we danced together… (repeat...)
Chorus extra 1:
we didnt have no where to go
waiting for the daylight to begin
Singer, save our secular souls
how can u have hope with no God?
extra chorus 2:
we didnt give a shit about what they would say...
and stayed up until the light turned our world/eyes grey.
we caned our money like it was our last day
2 fingers up at those who wont miss us when we pass away
5 stories removed from the trouble on the street
the sun arose revealing goose bumps on your arm
A sign that we should move together somewhere warm.
- we danced together.(repeat...)
and ran among the debris as the bullets flew.
Helicopters circled overhead to get a better view
We found a doorway, fell in and I held you.
- we danced together… (repeat...)

As far as I can tell, this song is about living in a police state, and being in part of the city where you shouldnt be (due to a curfew) with your partner. They realise that they will probably be killed soon, so they figure they might as well have a little dance where they cannot be seen. This song rules.
i heard on the radio that this was about a couple in the iraq/lebanon war. the police state idea is fantastic and it works, but i think that the war idea just fits a bit better, especially with the second verse. either way, both ideas so far are pretty much ther same thing and they both mean this song is a beautiful, fearless love story as well as a fanbloodytastic song. love it
My god, this song on repeat just gets more and more beautiful. I agree with thatguy_ice, especially with the police state etc.
Now, lets just listen to it again..
wow, now i realise how good people are at figuring out meanings of songs, i myself suck.
It's about living in war this is the 2nd bst song on the album i'd say.
I think the part labeled 'chorus extra 1' actually goes like this:
We didn't have nowhere to go, Wait for the daylight to begin S-S-Save our secular souls How can you have hope with no goal?
It really doesn't sound like God...
:D
