The Enemy Guns Lyrics
Oh my love
Here in our darkest hour
It is you, my desert flower
That I am dreaming of
We're up to our neck in foreign soil
We are the sacramental spoils
And they love to choke
The rivers with my brothers' blood
We have given our bodies
To the Mexican army
But my heart and soul
Belong to you my love
So let the enemy guns
Cut me to ribbons
For my eternal soul
Will know the way back home
Sobreviviendo
Sin sangre en mi cuerpo
Era amor de suenos
Somos los terribles
And I have given my body
To the Mexican army
But my heart and soul
Belong to you my love
So let the enemy guns
Cut me to ribbons
For my eternal soul
Will know the way back home
Sobreviviendo
Sin sangre mi cuerpo
Ese amor doloroso
Somos los terribles

Note: I don't know Spanish very well, and wasn't able to accurately transcribe most of the Spanish lines. If anyone else can supply them, please do!
THANK YOU. I've listened to this song countless times, but somehow could never make out a lot of those lines...
The problem with the Spanish parts is that Nick Urata has a tendency to get, er, a bit creative with the pronunciations. The original version of "Curse Your Little Heart" is all kinds of incorrect. But that doesn't stop me from loving it.
Anyway, "sobreviviendo" would be one word ("surviving"). And elsewhere on the net, I've seen this, though I have no idea how accurate it is:
Sobreviviendo Si sangre mi cuerpo Eramos risuenos Somos los temibles
...
Sobreviviendo Si sangre mi cuerpo Ese amor doloroso Somos los temibles
Personally, I don't hear the "temibles." Any more ideas...?
elms -- thank you! If I could, I'd go back and edit the original posting.
i think this is how the spanish parts go
sobreviviendo sin sangre en mi cuerpo era amor de suenos somos los terribles
which means: surviving without blood in my body it was a love of dreams we were terrible
leoplurodon: thank you. I've updated the posted lyrics.
A great song that describes war and the instrumental/whistling almost captures perfectly the ebb and flow of a battle.
I would translate "Somos los terribles" as "We are the terrible (ones)". Also, I think the line "Ese amor doloroso" should be "Este amor doloroso", meaning "this painful love".
Hi, the last part is...
Sobreviviendo Sin sangre mi cuerpo Es amor doloroso (No "ese, no "este") (Something like "Is painful love") Somos los terribles
The Spanish part (I believe) is "Sobreviviendo Sin sangre en mi cuerpo Eramos risueños Somos resto de hilos" Rough translation: Surviving Without blood in my body We were laughing We are the rest of the threads
