I can't believe no one has said anything about this song.

It's about someone who takes life too fast and misses the things that really matter. In this case, it's a guy who is rushing through life and forgets about the person that matters most to him. It's kind of like they're telling this girl to just say goodbye and go with them, that the "Running Man" isn't good enough.

This is a cool song. Catchy melody, great vocals.

I agree with your song meaning. It also sounds like the singer might have tried to confront this girl about the situation before, but it didn't go over well. And now he wants to explain his actions. He wants to convince her that the other guy isn't good for her. It reminds me of You're Going To Lose That Girl by the Beatles.

Judging from some of the lyrics, it almost sounds like it didn't work out for the guy.

I need to say goodbye You think I didn't try I'm not that other guy I'm feeling so sad

But the way the song ends, I guess we can assume he didn't give up.

Zac wrote this song to kate about ike. She dated ike first but he just wanted to have fun and fuck around(good for him btw) she got dumped but didnt want to give upthe hanson gold so she moved onto poor gulliable 15yr old zac playing the "woe is me" card. He fell for the sloppy seconds hook line and sinker but at the time was disillusioned enough to believe he was actually being her "knight in shining armor" and this was his "ill be your hero" song.
