Angels Lyrics
Nothing's left here but the sun
The human race is on the run
The ancient gods should have told
The earth has never felt this old
Angels
Flying over the land of blood
Angels
Warriors that Heaven forgot
Read my bloodstained apoca-lips
21st century son of a bitch
Speaking with the mouth of a whore
Riding with the horsemen of four
Countdown has begun
Apocalypse has got a son
Angels
Flying over the land of blood
Angels
Warriors that Heaven forgot
Angels
Didn't come here for you and me
Angels
Why did you leave us here in misery
The human race is on the run
The ancient gods should have told
The earth has never felt this old
Flying over the land of blood
Angels
Warriors that Heaven forgot
21st century son of a bitch
Speaking with the mouth of a whore
Riding with the horsemen of four
Apocalypse has got a son
Flying over the land of blood
Angels
Warriors that Heaven forgot
Angels
Didn't come here for you and me
Angels
Why did you leave us here in misery

I think this song is a total knock off of devils, from the opening riff to the way they shout angels throughout the chorus, but, seeing as devils IS an amazing song, a knockoff isn't necessarily a bad thing...
Angels is supposed to be just like Devils. The entire two albums are basically counterparts to eachother. Angels-Devils Hevioso-Wings and Heart Frankenhooker-Christina Death See any patterns? It's supposed to be like that.
lost boys - never say die only you can save me - in my name feel berlin - los angeles sister of charity - shadow of your love
and that's how it goes.
btw, this song itself is about those angels that seem to come to rescue you, but they let you fall in the end.
and it's "the human race" not "ace"
Angles are generally regarded as good, since they come from heaven, and people presume they are all benevolent and want to help you, but if you read the Old Testament you realize that they are not all that, they simply do the bidding of God, whatever that may be(ex. kill all the firstborns, wipe out a whole city). Angels are impartial, at most, to the human race. This is something I feel is part of the songs meaning. Other then that it can also be a social critique.
I read somewhere that this song was inspired by th3 movie Black Hawk Down. So the angels the song is referring to are the choppers. A lot of the songs on this album were inspired by movies.
