This is not addressed to fans, it is a break-up song. Just read "the show" as a romance and it all fits
the tune sounds like i predict a riot, maybe a thanks to the fans, brilliant 2nd album though better than the 1st

So I guess I was just really hearing the words to this song for the first time this morning. And I have to agree with UnCommon, this sounds like a put-down to me. Maybe to fans who get a little too clingy? Am I one of these people? Sure hope not.

Lyrics are wrong, like pandora_ash_avalie said, its "alright" and more importantly: "I just imagine that I'm you, And there's nothing, nothing, nothing I can do" (I got the actual lyrics booklet)
He knows what it was like to go to a concert and have fun, wanting more and more but also knowing there's nothing you can do. But now he's on the other side and it feels more like a drill, thankful, but it just feels "alright".
