The whole album was written in different cities, so this song is an intro to the whole thing. It's about the hopelessness of a night
I like to believe ths song is abot the end of the world (alas; Strata presents the end of the world). I personaly feel that eric wrote this in the first person as someone watching the world crumble before his very eyes. The powerfull ending maybe being his last thoughts, possibly screaming internally to a loved one.
