I'm not positive but I think the chorus goes:

Basically, I think this song is about someone realizing they don't like who they've become. They really want to change and be a better person, and they're saying that if they try, but fail, they know there's someone there to help them back up. Atleast, that's what I got out of it.

In my opinion this song says that things may have gone badly in a relationship, but you'll still try one last shot to set things right. And if it doesn't work out you move on, with valuable lessons learned and knowing that you're just fine.
