Postcard Song Lyrics

Today my thoughts were watered down
beneath the flood of London sounds
at Lester Square, the underground pulled me below.

I wish that I could be the sun.
I'd shine all languages at once
I wish that I could be the one you wake up to.

In a world, that's easy,
it's so easy on my eyes.
It's easy, it's so easy for me.
It's easy, it's so easy on my eyes.

There is a postcard I will send,
I will make a skyline sketch
of the bridge and river, cathedrals and all the people here.

It's as much mine as it is yours,
especially our soul's heavy doors.
That song of our soul's heavy doors we wake up to.

In a world, that's easy,
it's so easy on my eyes.
It's easy, it's so easy for me.
It's easy, it's so easy on my eyes.

So if I only live a day
If I come back with nothing.
If I only live a day,
What should I be?

In a world, that's easy,
it's so easy on my eyes.
It's easy, it's so easy for me.
It's easy, it's so easy on my eyes.

Cover art for Postcard Song lyrics by Denison Witmer

This song is magnificent. I don't know too much about Denison Witmer but this song makes me think of all the places i've traveled and places i'd like to go. The feeling i get in a strange city that makes me drop all other thoughts and appreciate the earth, and how you wish you could share that exact feeling with everyone. Make everyone stop their fighting and worrying and just take it all in.
