Smile Like You Mean It Lyrics
Save some face, you know you've only got one
Change your ways while you're young
Boy, one day you'll be a man
Oh girl, he'll help you understand
Smile like you mean it
Smile like you mean it
Looking back at sunsets on the Eastside
We lost track of the time
Dreams aren't what they used to be
Some things sat by so carelessly
Smile like you mean it
Smile like you mean it
And someone is calling my name
From the back of the restaurant
And someone is playing a game
In the house that I grew up in
And someone will drive her around
Down the same streets that I did
On the same streets that I did
Smile like you mean it
Smile like you mean it
Smile like you mean it
Smile like you mean it
Oh no, oh no no no
Oh no, oh no no no
Change your ways while you're young
Boy, one day you'll be a man
Oh girl, he'll help you understand
Smile like you mean it
Smile like you mean it
We lost track of the time
Dreams aren't what they used to be
Some things sat by so carelessly
Smile like you mean it
From the back of the restaurant
And someone is playing a game
In the house that I grew up in
And someone will drive her around
Down the same streets that I did
On the same streets that I did
Smile like you mean it
Smile like you mean it
Smile like you mean it
Oh no, oh no no no

I love this version. Is this the one that was shown in The O.C. Season 4 when the guys were going to Vegas, but like.. didn't?
yes... i also love this version... and i love the part when he talks about 'someone' calling his name etc its sooo sad and i can completely understand
Yah, they did the cover specifically for the show. I like it far more than the Killers version, seeing as they're better vocalists in general, and the harmonies and overall sense of confidence. It was powerful and I was pretty much blown away... :'D I love it.
I agree with lawlessly, I love the cover better than the original. Tally Hall owns the Killers in both fun and music.
their harmonies are brilliant.
good to hear them do a "normal"ish song, if that makes sense. but i love how they added their Tizzy Hizzy flavor to this cover... and now i never wanna hear the Killers sing it again.
I LOVE this cover. It's a Killers song, but sounds distinctly Tally Hall. Which I think is the point of a cover.
Tally Hall owns. I love how they sing it so sweetly, while it seems pretty ironic since the lyrics are so sad.
