Photographic Memory Lyrics
You're not so far away
Your sitting in the space between the night and day
And so I'll wait for the sound of your footsteps
The tea that's brewed too strong
The part of me that's waited patiently for oh so long
At least I try
But I'm relying
On my photographic memory
While painfully realizing
It's not all that it's cracked up to be
And falling's just another way to fly
I wonder why it's never easier than
The first time
Your sitting in the space between the night and day
And so I'll wait for the sound of your footsteps
The tea that's brewed too strong
The part of me that's waited patiently for oh so long
At least I try
But I'm relying
On my photographic memory
While painfully realizing
It's not all that it's cracked up to be
And falling's just another way to fly
I wonder why it's never easier than
The first time

I love this poem. It's so good. So well written. I love her falling/flying reference. To me, it seems to be about waiting for a lover and having her heart broken because this individual is a complete asshole and doesn't want her. Even though she's trying to wait patiently and give it her all, it is in vain. Too bad.
There's this face I always recognize on the internet but can't remember the face properly for reality
my tact is terriable half smirk
what?
RElying on photographic memory... To gain comfort in the absence? trying to visualize him when he's gone? Perhaps deceased? No easier than the first time... First time she tried to imagine him back? First time she had to let go? Falling is another way of flying? I like it... I LOVE these, Emilie
