...Because I Spit Hot Fire Lyrics

The sweat soaks his shirt
And he's feeling his blood thin out
And this pulse we've built outside this epidermis
Keeps his charm en route

Pedals to the floor
Like my hips press to yours
There's a whisper from your lips, "Let's go"
You don't stand a chance

I'm as stealthy as a slow gas leak
By the time that you know you'll have succomb to me
I've never seen such a battle to open one door

You're batting eyes
As he's taking his time
As we're playing out the last notes
To your culling song

Pedals to the floor
Like my hips press to yours
There's a whisper from your lips, "Let's go"
You don't stand a chance

I'm a rush much like passing notes
'Cause I'm keeping the secrets
You'd all die to know
But have no shame
These boundaries called waistlines
Are bound to be broken sometime

it's about trying to have sex with a girl for the first time

"Sweat soaks his shirt" - could be from the nerves, from the heat, or a mix of the two

"Feeling his blood thin out" - he is either getting drunk because alcohol thins the blood, or he has an erection: the blood in his body is thinning because it's.. yeah

"Pedals to the floor... succumb to me" - he's trying to get into her pants

"I've never seen such a battle to open one door" - open her legs

"Your batting eyes... culling song" - just a matter of time before something happens

"I'm a rush... no shame" - he's going to have the privilege of knowing what it's like to sleep with this girl

"These boundaries called waistlines are bound to be broken sometime" - she can only hold out for so long, he will have his way eventually

"la da da da la da da da" love that background singing / screaming. Awesome song, amazing lyrics

It's interesting how there IS a mixture of screaming and singing of the same line, you know? I think it shows how the same thing can be taken negatively or positively, depending on how you look at it. I think the rest of the song is like that as well. Because some of the things described seem good, but then the "The sweat soaks his shirt And he's feeling his blood thin out" isn't.

I love this one. something about it is hypnotic or something. I can't really figure out a meaning; I'm bad with that. awesome song though.

I don't remember if it was here, but I've read that another song from this same album (The Press War) was about a childhood friend of his being raped while drunk at a party, and nothing happening to the guy who did it after a trial went on. The song supposedly talks about the singer returning to his hometown to take matters into his own hands.

Since I've read that, I can't help but think that this song is about the same event, but on the eyes of the rapist. There are a lot of lines that can be interpreted as forceful sexual advances. "I've never seen such a battle to open one door", "As we're playing out the last notes To your culling song", "These boundaries called waistlines Are bound to be broken sometime", etc. Not to mention the song is quite heavy.

...And I would say the ""la da da da la da da da" are the "last notes to your culling song".
