Grow Up So Fast Lyrics

It's mother's birthday, she's 40 year
I don't know what to say
Buy her roses and cry her tears
But she'll just give them away

Baby I'm fighting
Baby you're fighting
Why'd I have to grow up so fast
I just want to stay here and last
oh we only, oh we only blew away

you were wearing my favourite dress
when you left that day
my pillow covers, your photograph
you come to me in waves

baby i'll find her
baby I'll find her
Why'd I have to grow up so fast
I just want to stay here and last
oh we only, oh we only blew away

I don't want to be the one that has to be afraid
I don't want to be the one you feel sorry for
I just want to be the one to make you smile
and kiss your face

it's mother's birthday, she's 40 years
i don't know what to say

why'd i have to grow up so fast
i just want to stay here and last
oh we only, oh we only blew away

why'd i have to grow up so fast
i just want to stay here and last
oh we only

Cover art for Grow Up So Fast lyrics by Chantal Kreviazuk

I think this one is pretty self explanatory, but I think that it's about a girl's mother leaving her when she was very young. This caused her to have more worries than someone that is her age (hence the "I just want to stay here and laugh"). Very good song, one of my favourites on the album.
