"Sometimes bombs fall quietly.." He is stating that even though he sends you signals, and is looking at you, you're too in-confident about yourself to pick your eyes up off the ground and see that someone is into you.

This song is beautiful. Sometimes you feel so alone, and you feel like no one cares about you. You feel let down and like no one could possibly love you. But when you're so focused on these thoughts you don't look up to see that someone is right in front of you.

I used to always listen to this song, but I always thought of it as me singing it to the guy I liked. I really liked him but he never seemed to notice. I haven't heard this song in a while but now I listened to it again and I realized that I'M the one who doesn't notice someone right in front of me who is perfect for me. I've had a best friend for a long time and the other day he confessed to me that he likes me and I've always liked him too. But it's just weird how you don't notice these people RIGHT in front of you.

I think this song is not as much about noticing that there's someone in love with you, but I think it's more about noticing which people are good for you. How often do people fall in love with someone with whom they know it will never work out? And how long does it take for them to get over that? And how long will it take them to realize that the person they always go to when it hasn't worked out yet again, really is 'the right one,' as Jason puts it?
This song kinda reminds me of Madame Bovary. She was such an ass that she only realized when she was dying that her husband was the only one who ever really loved her. None of her stupid lovers who disappointed her aaaall the time did, but yeh, it was too fucking late at that time. She could have been happy if she just realized that before.
Just make sure something like that never happens to you, count your blessings, be content with what you have, don't fucking waste your precious time on people who'll only misuse you.
I think this song about believing that love is still worth chasing no matter how much heartache and suffering it has or may cause you. Many times opportunities come unexpectedly. You just have to shake off the negatively or sadness to see it. There's always "Someone, Somewhere" that could make everything all better for you.
