The Chills Lyrics
Your tongue is sharp
But I miss the taste of it
You said time heals
There's not enough of it
The lesson's hard and cruel to keep
To lock the door to hide the key
To hear you cast a spell so sweet
To still have hours left to sleep
Your field is crowded
And there is still
No place
For someone
Like me to fill
Don't know about love
But I know the lack of it
Don't know about luck
But I'm losing track of it
The lesson's hard and cruel to keep
To lock the door to go to sleep
I know that time don't heal, it kills
You're giving me the chills
Your field is crowded
And there is still
No place
For someone
Like me to fill
Your field is crowded
And there is still
No place
For someone
Like me to fill
The lesson's hard and cruel to keep
To lock the door to hide the key
To hear you cast a spell so sweet
And still have hours left to sleep
Your field is crowded
And there is still
No place
For someone
Like me to fill
Your field is crowded
And there is still
No place
For someone
Like me to fill
The lesson's hard and cruel to keep
To lock the door to go to sleep
I know that time don't heal, it kills
You're giving me the chills
I know that time don't heal, it kills
You're giving me the chills
You're giving me the chills
You're giving me the chills
But I miss the taste of it
There's not enough of it
To lock the door to hide the key
To still have hours left to sleep
And there is still
No place
For someone
Like me to fill
But I know the lack of it
But I'm losing track of it
To lock the door to go to sleep
You're giving me the chills
And there is still
No place
For someone
Like me to fill
And there is still
No place
For someone
Like me to fill
To lock the door to hide the key
And still have hours left to sleep
And there is still
No place
For someone
Like me to fill
And there is still
No place
For someone
Like me to fill
To lock the door to go to sleep
You're giving me the chills
I know that time don't heal, it kills
You're giving me the chills
You're giving me the chills

i would say that this is definitely about nostalgia. wanting to be with someone you used to be with. it's been a while, but you're still waiting to get over them. at this point you've realized you won't get over them, but you'll never be with them again. it's too hard to get through to this person. you don't feel like you're enough of a priority to them. it's SO sad. i just want to give this person a big fucking hug.
This song gives me the chills.
your tongue is sharp but i miss the taste of it... fantastic.
i lovvvvvvvveeeeeeeee this song!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i think it's about... some kind of bittersweet nostalgia. ...missing someone who has a certain effect on you... and feeling out of place.
it's like when you love someone but have to face that he or she doesn't, and when you feel so bad that you can't think of anything else, you can't sleep, you just have live again and it's damn hard.
love this song
These lyrics are actually incorrect (look at the album booklet).
It's "Your field is crowded...." instead of "your fear is crowdin'"
To met its a song about dealing with letting go.
Someone you love has hurt you badly, but you want to get hurt again b/c you love them so much, but unfortunately, they have no room for you in their life...
"Your field is crowded, and there is still no place for someone like me to fill"
And it doesn't matter how long u spend away from them b/c
"Time don't heal it kills" (another correct lyric that's not on these).
It's a toss up between this and "Up against the wall" for my favorite PB&J song right now.
Best post break-up song ever. "Time don't heal it kills" is pretty much what the whole song boils down to.
I thought it was "your fear is crowded", but you might be right. PB&J are from Stockholm, so making out some of the words can be hard.
Haha benjisan that hug comment was funny and good. This song is definitely a post-breakup song.. Sad :-( but very very good.
This song is incredible, I never get sick of listening to it. I just see it as being about somebody who loves someone who doesn't reciprocate, perhaps they had a relationship in the past or a fling. "Your field is crowded and there is still no place for someone like me to fill." They don't feel good enough or the other person just isn't interested. I view it this way because it has a personal connection to me. Regardless, this song is perfection.
