well, i'm not sure exactly what the lyrics mean, but i'll give it a shot because i LOVE the song. so pretty.
anyways. so, writer's dating this girl. he might love her, i dunno, i'm not the writer. anyways. so she's tempted by this other dude and he was expecting her to be strong enough to hold out, to say no. and she didn't.

to me, i this song is about two friends, well in my case thats what it reminds me of. they used to be the best of friends, then the girl got someone and they drifted apart, she messed things up when she knew she could have kept the friendship going. they lost each others trust and thats how they lost eachother as a whole. thats what it reminds me of because that the kind of issue i'm in right now. i try to fix it, but he isn't doing his best at it.
kay i agree with emoseatworms i just want to add that I think he's writing this about a his (first?)girlfriend who cheated on him when he was young. He thinks she was a bitch for it because he was nervous about 'moving' with her. Then she died (or he wishes she were). Mourning song but the overall feel of the song is kinda 'you got what you deserved'
