yer this is a great song, one of his best with babyshambles. Pete has described this as an 'angry' song which i think is actually an understatement. the video for it shows just how much passionate was put into this. apparently it was inspired by this time pete was in town and was so wasted on drugs he was blinded for about an hour and couldn't see. anyone got any idea what the lyrics are for the '[pete speaking]' bit? i know he mutters something about the 'fucking justice system' but any ideas?
I've always thought he was singing about that light you're supposed to see right before you die. It could make sense cause he sings that "It's the last thing that you'll ever see" and there's a few other lines that fits in pretty well to my theory. ie he sings about running out of time, and that you "might be free or freer than you've ever been.
It's not all about getting stoned and so fourth. It's a song about paparazzis(?), and all their flashes. How they're blinding... And how they're chasing pete across the world.

no one hears him say some mumbled words about the justice system somewhere in that song? Justice is blind? Justice system? I think this song is about getting messed up in the system. Pete's sly way of commenting on the justice system.
