Salvation Lyrics

Excuse me, stranger, what are you embracing?
The roots of the ground live in blood as we speak.
I can sense the rhythm and it's time to; Panic.
Panic.

well, i'm pretty positive it's about the second coming of christ, and judgement day will be among us and everyone needs to panic for they have lived a shameful life.

yeah I guess some people will panic, some wont care and some will be in the right all along. I think the first lyrics is a guy who hasnt heard of christ seeing Jesus and saying "so what are you embracing"?

I totally agree! 100%

I'm pretty sure the lyrics at that one part are: "The roots of the ground live in blood as we speak." check out gwen stacy's myspace blogs. they have one about it cuz cole does vocals on this song.

its not some dude looking at jesus. its about the narrator (im guessing mike) asking some person about earth and the worldly desires of man and why he is embracing all the hatred and greed of the world. the roots of the ground live in blood is talking about murder death and more sin and how no one is awake to this reality. the panic is possibly the second coming but i don't really know, im just positive about the first part.

i agree with blake2112.

i think the next part might be that the narrator can sense where humanity is going and it makes him panic.

I'm with blake2112 abd rAwrX3 on this one. Except on the last part, "I can sense the rhythm and it's time; Panic. Panic." means that it's the second coming of jesus and that the he (the narrator) should be panicing for those who will go to hell.

The line "The roots of the ground live in blood as we speak" sounds alot like the scripture about cain and able when cane killed his brother out of jealousy. I dont think that what its about but that could be where he got some ideas for lyrics...

I am pretty sure that this is referring to the Day of Judgement. Jesus Christ is descending to Earth to bring home all of his children. Maybe the person who says "Excuse me stranger, what are you embracing?" is unaware of all of the goings on. The "stranger" whom he is speaking to warns him of what is happening.

I also made this assumption based on the fact that the song title is "Salvation" and it is the final song on the album. This could be referring to the end of time and the beginning of eternity.

I love this song though. The instrumentals have a beautiful flow to them. =]
