Uncle Bobby Lyrics
Ahhhh, someone who knows that they're talking about needs to comment on this song!
I love the song, but that it means confuses.
Does she (she being either Regina or just a character in a song that is in first person) just have an uncle she loves a lot? Is there more? Ahh!
i love this song too i feel like she might be talking about bob dylan, who she says is one of her influences.
firstly, it's played on guitar and not piano, which is rare for regina and bob always uses guitar. secondly, some of the rhymes are commonplace in his songs-especially in that "ah you leave me.." verse i could just be making this up since i love bob dylan and it's wishful thinking that yet another person could write a tribute song to him/about him..but that's the first thing i thought of when i heard this song
Re.:sugarmagnolias72 Yes! Definitely I think so. When I heard this song for the first time I thought it´s about Bob Dylan too :)
This song is so wonderful!
It's SO about Bob Dylan. It has to be!
I got the impression it was about a Manson-type who leads a cult/family and POV was of a follower.
The blind worship, the way Uncle Bobby's songs speak to them.
There was a children's show called Uncle Bobby, but it was popular before Regina was born, and only aired in Canada. I doubt it's relevant but it seems like a weird coincidence.
This song is definitely about Bob Dylan, she even sings it like him, which makes it all the more awesome. To me, the lines "But I'm so glad you've been born Unto us Unto us" could just as easily be about her, and I think most Regina fans would agree :)
Aunt Regina, aunt Regina, I love you so!
aunt regina ^W^
aunt regina ^W^
I agree! This is exactly what i was thinking! It is much like the song dimonds and rust by joan biez!
I'd rather not think this song is about Bob Dylan...but then, I have a friend named Bobby.
Is Uncle Bobby and Uncle Robert from Edit the same person?
