Oh

It never really mattered too much to me
That you were just too damned old for me
All that really mattered was you were my girlfriend
And, baby, that's all that mattered to me

Let me love you down
Even if it takes all night
Let me love you down
You know it's gonna be so right

Remember when I drove you home from work
I loved the way when you kissed me bye
All your friends think I'm just too young for you
You tell 'em that I can do what guys their age can do, oh, baby

Let me love you down
Even if it takes all night
Let me love you down
You know it's got to be so right

Let me love you down
Even if it takes all night
Let me love you down
You know it's got to be so right, oh

It never really mattered too much to me
That you were too damned old for me, mmm
All that really mattered was you were my girlfriend
And baby, that?s all that mattered to me, oh, baby

Let me love you down
Oh, oh
Let me love you down
You know it's gonna be so right

Let me love you down
Oh
Let me love you down
You know it's gonna be so right, mmm

I can love you down

Let me love you, love you, love you, love you
Let me love you, love you, love you, love you
Let me love you down (love you down)
I know, I know I could
Let me love you down (love you down)
I know it's gonna take all night

Let me love you down (love you down)
No, no, no, no
Let me love you down (love you down)
Oh, ho

Let me love
From dawn
Take the house and the car, mmm
I love like you are, whoa
Love you down, down, down, baby
Mmm, mmm
Love you down, down, down
Oh, whoa, whoa
I know, I know I could, yeah
Let me love you down
Whoa, whoa, mmm
It's just me and you the whole night through
Let me love you, baby
I know, I know I could
Love you down, down
Oh, ho
Let me love you
I know I could, baby, mmm
You're so sweet to me
Mmm, whoa, whoa
Let me love you down, oh, baby
It's just you and me, baby
The whole night through
Won't you let me love down
I can't take this too much longer, you know

The song is obviously about grief. Maybe it's over a dead relationship, but maybe it's over a dead person, I'm not sure.

It's more dear if our singer has lost someone they loved and are caught up in grief, unable to move forward and impossible to move back.

I like to think she's sitting in the dark, grieving, and a song comes on that makes her cry. Most who grieve a death have been there.

Either way, it's a lovely song.

Sounds like she wants to break up with him but finds herself being drawn back to him.

To me this songs is about someone who is deeply in love with someone but it almost hurts them to watch them be alone. Its a very powerful song in my opinion.

When I first heard this song, my first thought was that I recognised it from the Flo Rida song ‘I cry’. Quickly realised that this sampled song has way more to it... personally think it’s an amazing piece of work.

It’s quite simplistic in the way she sings of the way a man (her love at one time) keeps drawing her back by playing piano. I guess you can look more into this. The piano can be a metaphor for a lot more. Doesn’t really matter what it’s actually a metaphor for.... I think she’s just singing about how she’s torn between leaving someone she once loved, and how there’s always that one small but profound thing he does or says, that draws her back again.

In a way it’s quite a simple concept, but the way she tells the story, sets a scene and makes the whole situation so heartbreaking has you relating to how difficult this decision was to her and how we’re all easily torn between leaving someone we love... or the idea of them/hope we hold on to.

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

Holiday
Bee Gees
@[Diderik:33655] "Your a holiday!" Was a popular term used in the 50s/60s to compliment someone on their all around. For example, not only are they beautiful, but they are fun and kind too ... just an all around "holiday". I think your first comment is closer to being accurate. The singer/song writers state "Millions of eyes can see, yet why am i so blind!? When the someone else is me, its unkind its unkind". I believe hes referring to the girl toying with him and using him. He wants something deeper with her, thats why he allows himself to be as a puppet (even though for her fun and games) as long as it makes her happy. But he knows deep down that she doesnt really want to be serious with him and thats what makes him.

I Can't Go To Sleep
Wu-Tang Clan
This song is written as the perspective of the boys in the street, as a whole, and what path they are going to choose as they get older and grow into men. (This is why the music video takes place in an orphanage.) The seen, and unseen collective suffering is imbedded in the boys’ mind, consciously or subconsciously, and is haunting them. Which path will the boys choose? Issac Hayes is the voice of reason, maybe God, the angel on his shoulder, or the voice of his forefathers from beyond the grave who can see the big picture and are pleading with the boys not to continue the violence and pattern of killing their brothers, but to rise above. The most beautiful song and has so many levels. Racism towards African Americans in America would not exist if everyone sat down and listened to this song and understood the history behind the words. The power, fear, pleading in RZA and Ghostface voices are genuine and powerful. Issac Hayes’ strong voice makes the perfect strong father figure, who is possibly from beyond the grave.
