Orange County Girl Lyrics
Don't know what I'm doing back in the studio
Getting greedy 'cause he said he had another sick flow
So I had to holla back; guess I didn't get enough
Still feel the Wonderland, Alice and the tick-tock
If you give me a clap, I'm gonna give an encore
Don't want it to end; I wanna skank some more
I'm tripping on the best dream that I never had
I guess behind the orange curtain it's not so bad
From the West Side, Anaheim, a small world after all
Hanging out at the hotel, selling makeup at the mall
Making out to "Purple Rain" just like everybody else
Dame un beso, no stop, I'm trying to save myself
In the ordinary common girl way
Back in the seven-one-four days
Trying to figure what I wanna be
Hanging in the garage, me and ND
I'm just an Orange County girl
Living in an extraordinary world
I'm just an Orange County girl
Living in an extraordinary world
Sing
La la la la la la la la la
And the girls sing
La la la la la la la la la
And the guys sing
La la la la la la la la la
And the girls sing
La la la la la la la la la
A lot of things have changed, but I'm mostly the same
These are a few of my favorite things
Still rollin' 'cause the 'Sound Of Music'
And nothing better than a great, big, huge hit
You know, I'd pay you just to let me write, dance, and sing
I know I'm living the E-ticket dream
For a girl from O.C., it's almost unheard of
So I wanna thank you all so much for the love (especially my girlfriends)
Flew down to meet P, make a hurricane in Miami
Working with him, I'm gonna get myself another Grammy
I got the L.A.M.B., and he's rocking the ice cream
Blend it together, something fresh and kinda in between
Writing down my feelings is something that I love
So I don't really give a fuck
The music don't come in no color
It's time to move on hit you with the chorus
I'm just an Orange County girl
Living in an extraordinary world
I'm just an Orange County girl
Living in an extraordinary world
Sing
La la la la la la la la la
And the girls sing
La la la la la la la la la
And the guys sing
La la la la la la la la la
And the girls sing
La la la la la la la la la
And the dream goes...
On and on, and on, and on

i really like gwen's new cd. at first i could take it or leave it but then i actually read the lyrics and listened to the song properly and i love it now :D awesome stuff..
I agree with you hayles89. At first I wasn't into the CD so much. I was thinking 2 myself "God, Gwen has totally changed. What happened 2 the cute lil ska girl we all used to know and love?" But then I looked at these lyrics and my opinion really changed. This is just another way to express herself musically. She is still the same. The line that really got me was "Don't want it to end, I wanna skank some more" She doesn't want to give up her original style and this is just kinda of like experimenting. I know there will always be haters but Gwen hasn't drastically changed, so don't worry to much about it.
the first couple lines are about how she didnt mean to make another record. on the dvd she said she just wanted to make a dance record so she made lamb. she didnt want to tour for it but she wound up doing so.
My girl Gwen reppin' the 714. That is how we roll. I do like Gwen Stefani, but I really don't care for all the stale lyrics the new album has.
Whoever posted the lyrics is a dumbass some of the words are all wrong
But I love Gwen & her flow of style on her songs...she's very original & knows how to pull her shit off right...she's one of the few realest female singers in the music industry
this song is about her musical experience through years of being in the music industry I guess? The beat is pretty kewl and it has a taste of hip hop in it which i like.
"Don't want it to end, I wanna skank some more"
I'm so glad she incorperated that in there.
I LOVE THIS SONG! WHEN I GOT THE CD I LISTENED TO IT SO MUCH THAT I MEMORIZED THE LYRICS IN A FEW HOURS! LOVE THE SONG!!
