I love this song! And the video.
I think the meaning is pretty obvious
The fall of man from the garden of eden. Temptation, and human's innability to resist. When we fall into temptation, its sweet... the end is bitter (our fall) and at the end, we reap the consequence (loosing our paradise).
Then again... we are nothing but puppets, nothing but characters in tragic book we call 'Life'.
