Haunted by the past,
A nightmare that seems so unreal.
Wish that I could turn back time,
And spare the pain that we both feel.
And now, we've changed,
Things will never be the same.
(Things will never be the same)

We were foolish then,
But our trials served to make us strong.
The burdens are not yours alone,
We've sought the answers for so long.
But they're not free.
They cost you more than they cost me.
(My brother)

Chorus:
I promise you,
There is nothing I won't give,
To see this through,
Return the soul to where it lives.
I promise you,
I'd go everywhere I've been,
To find a way,
To make atonement for my sin.
And see...
See your smiling face again.

When we pay the price at last,
And we are whole once more,
Life will be the way it was,
The way it was before the day,
She slipped away,
Together we'll redeem that day.

Chorus

(I promise)
(I promise)
(I promise)

Chorus

I absolutely love this song. Vic is an amazing singer as well as an amazing voice actor. I idolize him and I would love to become an anime voice actor just like him. We love you Vic!

w00t. This seems to be very based on the anime Fullmetal Alchemist, in which Vic's the voice of Edward Elric. (go on Wikipedia and look up the plot, if you want to know how I got this.)

ERK! ERROR! In the second part of the 1st verse, it's "but they're not FREE", where it says "they're not REAL". For one thing, it doesn't sound anything like "real", and for another, why would the "cost" in the next line be associated with reality? Other than that, these are fine... I never would have guessed he was saying "atonement for my sin" XDD Vic's an okay VA, but I liked him better as Dark. Maybe it's the fact that he's about 3 times as old as Eddo.... and I love Romi Paku so much, nobody can replace her ^~~^

Um... it says "but they're not free". Where'd you get "they're not real" from? And Dark WAS rad, but Vic is THE most AWSOME VA EVER!!! And who cares how old he is?

Wow. This is actually one of the best songs I've every heard, since I heard it about 2 years ago(: [if I'm not mistaken]. Anywho, yes, this is about FullMetal Alchemist. &+ no, I don't think that Vic listens to Evanescence. In fact, I think she & her band ( who are awesome ) scare him (; xDDD well, just felt like commenting, cause I love Vic <3 & one day I do hope to be an amazing VA just like him.

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

Gentle Hour
Yo La Tengo
This song was originally written by a guy called Peter Gutteridge. He was one of the founders of the "Dunedin Sound" a musical scene in the south of New Zealand in the early 80s. From there it was covered by "The Clean" one of the early bands of that scene (he had originally been a member of in it's early days, writing a couple of their best early songs). The Dunedin sound, and the Clean became popular on american college radio in the mid to late 80s. I guess Yo La Tengo heard that version. Great version of a great song,

Just A Little Lovin'
Dusty Springfield
I don't think it's necessarily about sex. It's about wanting to start the day with some love and affection. Maybe a warm cuddle. I'm not alone in interpreting it that way! For example: "'Just a Little Lovin’ is a timeless country song originally recorded by Eddy Arnold in 1954. The song, written by Eddie Miller and Jimmy Campbell, explores the delicate nuances of love and showcases Arnold’s emotive vocals. It delves into the universal theme of love and how even the smallest gesture of affection can have a profound impact on our lives." https://oldtimemusic.com/the-meaning-behind-the-song-just-a-little-lovin-by-eddy-arnold/

Amazing

Ed Sheeran tells a story of unsuccessfully trying to feel “Amazing.” This track is about the being weighed down by emotional stress despite valiant attempts to find some positivity in the situation. This track was written by Ed Sheeran from the perspective of his friend. From the track, we see this person fall deeper into the negative thoughts and slide further down the path of mental torment with every lyric.
