this kinda happened to me and it's.. how i feel.. so that's why i see this as a girl talking to her old friend, but it could be just any girl that is jealous of her. she's laughing because the girl's gone after her ex.
she tries SOOOO hard to copy the girl. it's ridiculous to think she'd care since she let the guy go!.. yet this girl still tries- the old friend does everything she can think of, but she's really desperate, so she can't keep a guy. she's the one under all the stress, frantically trying to keep up with the girl speaking, but the girl speaking doesn't give a shit about either of them and knows that she's still doin better than the old friend, especially since it's obvious in the way the girl is so jealous of her life.. and she knows she can do much better than this old bf.
maybe that's a confusing explanation... but that's 'what this song means to me'.

anyways I agree- its about a trashy crazy jealous girl who's going for their "leftovers" hehe...
I get the vibe that this song is about a girl being challenged by the girl who is currently dating her ex. Maybe you see the two of them at a club and the girl is flossing trying to "throw it in her face", but the singer is laughing because she's had him and she doesn't want him. "Tell me how do my leftovers taste?"

Just wow - probably my second favourite Porcelain and the Tramps song (first being You Want). Err yeah...pretty much what you guys all said on the explaination thing - ex-girlfriend of boy sees said boy with new girl, has an i-dont-care-you-can-have-the-bastard kind of exterior, while inside she's thinking about how does still think about boy and sarcastically asks "How do my leftovers taste?" to new girl and boy. Is about her ex-boyfriend Snake... I forgot his real name. Opps. Anyways, her ex-boyfriend's last band Valentine. Apparently Snake and Valentine's ex-drummer Rocko or whatever his name/stage name is, left the band and joined Porcelain. Valentine was managed by this girl's mother I knew, therefore Porcelain implies Ms. V as the band and manager I believe. I know it has something to do with the member's ex-band. I'm just not entirely sure if that's the right lyrics.
