A Death In The Family Lyrics

By this, with the soulful 'goodnight',
I wish you this, all the things that you're hiding from,
Hide me in the hole, stored away from nightmares,
They've lived here longer than I have.

I wish you the best, I wish you the best,
I wish you the best, I wish...

La da doo da da daa.

With the world to turn this microphone,
Till the day your heart explodes, or the day you get old.
In these precious steps to warn this fear,
I will carry you till then, from beginning through the end.

I'm only wishing you the best (I've been walking one way to get back to her)

When I get to hold and see you, till then. (La da doo da da daa)

I think this is about the suicide of Martha because she realizes that is Cecillia and the McCloud boys arent there to take the agression of Arthur, she is the only one left for him to abuse -- again. So why wait.

Has anyone ever thought that this is Sir Arthur McCloud (or at least in the beginning) calling out to Cecellia from beyond the grave. (sp?) "hide me in the hole stored away from nightmares" I mean in the song before this one on the album she kills him right? Maybe he is asking her to forgive him... AHHH Claudio Sanchez confuses me so much, but I can't get enough

Cecelia, after killing her father, leaves, out of fear and takes her twin brothers with her because her mother couldn't take care of them with a dead husband and a missing daughter. I think this song is Martha realizing that Cecelia will be ok but misses her and starts to understand the truth of what's happening.
