There's a light in this shed
that should help you find your way,
And throigh this door you deserve
a beating through the Machine.
And little did you once know,
in the race for the telephone,

In the dark they have
watched us from here beyond the grave.
To bare the mark of His work
are the Watchmen of our ways,
That which we feels untrue,
if it's me then it isn't you.
Lay-down, relax, come on, how?
What you thought once was yours
is ours now.

Stay with me to guide this dream,
Before they bury me.
I'll be waiting up all night for you,
In a nightmare that was made for me.
Stay with me to guide this dream,
Before they bury me.
I'll be waiting up all night for you,
In a nightmare that was made for me

In the call of her screams
should we leave and let them be,
Or Is her life worth as much
As we once wished to believe?
So is it or isn't so
Am I dead now here in the snow?
With the form of a blade
will then justive be engraved?
To bare the walk on the way
to the killer and his blade.

So is it or isn't so?
Am i dead now here in the snow?
Lay-down, relax, come on, how?
What you thought once was yours
is ours now.

Stay with me to guide this dream,
Before they bury me.
I'll be waiting up all night for you,
In a nightmare that was made for me.
Stay with me to guide this dream,
Before they bury me.
I'll be waiting up all night for you,
In a nightmare that was made for me

General CommentClaudio, and about 60% of the known literate world, is obsessed with Watchmen - so I definitely see the parallel with Rorschach's death at the hands of Dr. M...

however, this song is actually all about a sexual move known as "Who Watches the Watchmen?"...

typically it involves masks, capes and about 4 hours of the Knife on loop.

    General CommentSlight corrections:
"As he wants ME to still believe"
    and
"Am I dead now HERE in the snow?"

And to me, the "Woa" sounds more like an "Oh Oh".
This song is amazing. Lyrically and musically. Can't wait for the album - good job on the lyrics too, I just heard the song on their myspace and this was the only place I could find lyrics.

General CommentAlright, thanks mate, yeah i think this song is awesome and Claudio's experiment with My Brother's Blood Machine is really good, even if i prefere the progression in style that Coheed and Cambria are following, though from what i've read seems like alot of folk don't like what he's doing. I'm not so much into pop but then, this is like pop by Claudio Sanchez, he brings his own unique touch to the genre.
I had to download the MP3, their MySpace isn't working for everyone, which sucks!

General CommentGreat song. Love the subtle sitar work. I noticed in The Missing McCloud Boys that snow was mentioned a bit, and once again it's mentioned. I wonder if it's going to be a running theme on the album?

    General CommentStay with me tonight,
Stay with me to "guide this dream"
my interpretation of this song is that a dead person is watching a murderscene from behind the grave. At the end where it says Dead here in the snow, the stanza is a switch in perspective to the person actually being slain.
    Thats my interp anyway

General CommentI think that who watches the watchmen? means exactly that... If no one watches the watchmen then they can fall asleep, or otherwise become indisposed. This leaves a window of opportunity for Cecillia to find Butchie bleam (although she has no real reason to go since he did initially try to kill her) in the shed (prison) he is in. This is probably just a dream of Butchie's not neccisarrily what is going to happen. He knows that she is impure and so if she enters "The (blood) Machine" she will be killed or atleast in the same position he is in know. He is also realizing that his is all his fault and he is in prison for his own doings and maybe he is fed up with this cult becuase he keeps repeating "Oh you're right our you're wrong, you're right our you're wrong" just bitterly as he sits in his cell.

General CommentI think, in this track, one of the brothers ( i beleive Long-Arm, who has fallen in-love with Cecillia) has found Cecillia in the snow, and is contemplating whether or not to take her to the Blood Machine where Butchie holds one or both her brothers as hostage. In the end, despite beleiving that he is failing in his race for death, and with the threats of his brother (who wants to kill him) ringing in his ears, Long-Arm leaves Cecillia asleep, thinking to himself that his actions can only be right or wrong, and so in time he will find out.
