after listening to this album just once, this song stuck out most. it really reminds me of engine down. which is great. but i can't figure out what it means.

i think it has something to do with a couple that has no love for each other anymore, or ever. they were not meant to be but stayed together because they both wanted to be in love (The difference between finding what you love, and loving what you've found Is killing us right now), and this song is about the decision to split (living as one, beats dying as two). that's what i think just based primarily on the chorus. hopefully i'll understand it better in the future.

i'm finding myself really relating to these lyrics based on my own situation. the girl i've been in love with (and she loves me too), won't leave her asshole boyfriend who she knows is bad for her. the line "The difference between finding what you love, and loving what you've found Is killing us right now" is really the most important line in the song. we both know we are right for each other, but we've been going through a vicious cycle for so long and i'm tired of fighting for her, "there's nothing left to give".

Wow, I'm really overwhelmed. I know this song for a bit longer. But now that I'm in situation like vicious circle as well I remarked the song in another, more intensive way. I wanted to check here if other people think like me about the lyric and: yes they do. It's great to see this. It's really great to see in such a situation that other people have similar problems and thoughts. But I really don't know if I have the power to break things up... I think it is pretty self explanatory. It is about the end of a relationship that he doesnt want to let go but knows he has to. The deeper meaning to it is the fact the she is looking for more. IE. "Difference between finding what you love and loving what you found is killing us right now." In life, most people look for an ideal/perfect person to complete them. Where as the lyricist tell us he wasnt ever looking for anyone to complete him. He is already complete just wants to share himself with someone. She feels like she must find the perfect person to complete her but he knows he is complete. Ie. she must keep searching for someone to complete her. Too bad she will be searching for the rest of her life or til she figures it out. Great song.

I really love this song. Its the best on the album. There are probably many ways this can be translated, but this is what I got because it feels like my situation put into a song.

Basically, these two people were really in love but as they got to know each other, they realized it wasn't what they thought, and they started to lie and decieve each other. But they really loved what they thought they had and won't let go, even though its "killing" them. He gave her everything but he knows it was all for nothing, now he's asking her to leave and he's going to end the relationship.
