To Live and Die by Fire Lyrics

We've burned this city and it's coming down.
Pack your bags, we leave at dawn. We move in cycles.
The story is always the same.
We take who we can with us and then we get out.
Burn. We watch it burn right before our eyes.
There's no turning back now.
Burn. We watch it burn right before our eyes.
There's no turning back now.
Fall to your knees and ask yourself:
"Will we ever make it home?"
The question that remains will be lifted to the heavens.
We've burned this city and it's crumbling.
Grab your things, we're leaving now.
Onto the next one.
I swear it's always the same.
We take who we can with us and leave the rest in shame.
Shame. Shame.

i think this song is about how a lot of people loose faith in god or jesus, when he says "grab your things were leaving now" he means leaving those people and joining the few that do have faith, those who don't are left "in shame"

maybe this song is about us.humans.how we are becoming corrupted and selfish.but some few people stayed true and pure.and they are trying to live a life away from these people.but unforunately they are everywhere..so theses people wil try and live with them.but in the end those corrupted people will leave in shame for what they 've done
