This is such a beautiful song, I think it's one of their best and I can't believe they were going to include it on Release and didn't. I find it very soothing to listen to when I'm stressed out, both lyrically and musically. It's got such a gorgeous dreamy, gentle quality and Neil's voice sounds perfect. I think the lyrics are beautiful and quite self explanatory really.
I agree that this is a beautiful song, and one of my favourites. It touches me and is somehow both positive and melancholy in words and music. I listen to it during the cold dark winter months in Canada, and on days when I feel low.
The meaning is clear, and it is a good reminder. I like how he says "Always summer comes" and then ends the song by repeating it again and again. "Always. Always. Always". Because for me when times are tough, I can sometimes forget that this too shall pass.
