i'm surprised nobody commented this song yet! it's got to be the saddest song i've ever heard from beck. i'm pretty sure the song's about a brother that passed away, and it mentions it on wikipedia that he does have a brother. also if you read the song carefully it's easy to understand, and the lyrics are so well put together.

this song disturbed me the first time i heard it. i didn't really know beck was capable of that kinda sadness. he really is a great songwriter.
