I think this one is about being afraid to choose and to act, thus sentencing oneself to a meaningless and shallow life, or as the title says it - "life in still water", where there's no change, no challenge and no real happiness. "is there room still for us to grow within the bounds we've come to know" these words sum it up, I guess.
