Without a Sound Lyrics
You,
rush up to the top
to find that you had lost
in my mind you're still in the heat
and you
are all I'll ever need
all I'll ever need
You,
left a heavy heart
you tried to pull apart
at some point
you'll have to make stand
and you
Are all I'll ever need
You're all I'll ever need
Rush by
hand in hand
fall from the sea to land
don't let the sun go down
run this light
run this light
You,
run out into the crowd
death without a sound
in this light you die
to struggle on
and you,
are all I'll ever need
Rush by
hand in hand
fall from the sea to land
don't let the sun go down
run this light
run this light
You're all I'll ever need
You're all I'll ever need
all I'll ever need
all I'll ever need
none of this will count
death without a sound
rush up to the top
to find that you had lost
in my mind you're still in the heat
and you
all I'll ever need
left a heavy heart
you tried to pull apart
at some point
you'll have to make stand
and you
You're all I'll ever need
hand in hand
fall from the sea to land
don't let the sun go down
run this light
run this light
run out into the crowd
death without a sound
in this light you die
to struggle on
and you,
hand in hand
fall from the sea to land
don't let the sun go down
run this light
run this light
You're all I'll ever need
all I'll ever need
all I'll ever need
death without a sound

Can't believe this is the first entry on such a great song. Also, i find it hard to comprehend why there are plenty of users leaving comments for wiretap scars and porcelain but hardly a person thinks about Threes... what an incredible album, it should not be overlooked.
in my mind you're still in the heat
is
in my mind you're still in the lead
and
in this light you die
is
in this life you die
sparta can sure can write a weird haunting love song
I think this song is about someone you love going through a hard time, and trying to reassure them that none of the negative will matter in the end, all that will matter is what they mean to eachother. Jim probably wrote this for his wife-Jim's vocals are great in this song, especially when he screams "all i ever need" towards the end-he really throws himself into it-Jim is probably one of the most sincere musicians out there.
I agree with you Intothenight... I like the gentle ambiguity of the lyrics, very heartfelt, which describes how I feel about the album as a whole. I'm not sure if the pervading sadness of threes was in part acknowledgement that the band was moving apart (especially Jim?) but seems fitting.
I hope that Sparta can come back in some incarnation... I really, really enjoy their music.
