Liar Lyrics
I want to hold you to the sun
I want to be your faithful one
I want to show you all the beauty
You don't even know you hold
I'm hurting you for your own good
I'd die for you - you know I would
I'd give up all my wealth
To buy you back the soul you never sold
I want to mix our blood
And put it in the ground
So you can never leave
I want to earn your trust
Your faith your heart
You'll never be deceived
Liar Liar Liar Liar
I want to heal you pretty sweet
I'll throw rose petals at your feet
I'll spend eternity
Comparing all my poetry to yours
I want to see love through your eyes
You'll never have to compromise
I'll give up all my fame
To fight your demons and your bloody wars
I want to mix our blood
And put it in the ground
So you can never leave
I want to earn your trust
Your faith your heart
You'll never be deceived
Are you suffering?
Are you suffering?
Are you suffering?
Are you suffering?
Are you suffering?
Show me your suffering
I want your beautiful suffering
I want to see your pain
Are you suffering?
Show me your suffering
I want your beautiful suffering
I want it
I want it
I want to mix our blood
And put it in the ground
So you can never leave
I want to earn your trust
Your faith your heart
You'll never be deceived
I want to mix our blood
And put it in the ground
So you can never leave
I want to earn your trust
Your faith your heart
You'll never be deceived
Liar Liar Liar Liar

no no no, this song is about a guy saying this part...
"I want to hold you to the sun I want to be your faithful one I want to show you all the beauty You don't even know you hold I'm hurting you for your own good I'd die for you - you know I would I'd give up all my wealth To buy you back the soul you never sold I want to mix our blood And put it in the ground So you can never leave I want to earn your trust Your faith your heart You'll never be deceived"
all the other stuff like that too and the chorus is her yelling "liar" because he lied to her.
the "are you suffering?" part is her getting her revenge on him because he lied to her (hence the song title, liar) and the "Show me your suffering I want your beautiful suffering I want to see your pain" is her wanted him to hurt just like he hurt her by lying right to her face about all this.
I have had an experience that is all too relatable to this song. A while ago I liked this guy who turned into a total jerk in the amount of time I had a crush on him. I knew that he wasn't what he was trying to make himself out to be, and/or that he was being such a jerk because he was covering up his insecurities. I grew farther apart from him as friends over a while, though I still saw him a few times a week. He said mean and rude things (not necessarily to anyone in particular) and I would get mad at him but then later I would always come up with excuses for his behavior. I knew at that point that there was no chance that he reciprocated my feelings for him, but I still felt concern for him and I wanted more than anything to help him whether he liked me back or not. Even still, I couldn't get over him and I still felt an undeniable attraction to him.
The verses are me trying to support him and help him get rid of the horrible facade he had started to hide himself behind. The chorus is me reconfirming my affection for him, but then painfully bringing up the fact that he has hurt people. The "are you suffering?" part is partially me wanting him to pay for his actions and how he had unintentionally ensnared me, and a bit of it is a more sexual sort of tone.
When I just recently discovered this song, having gotten over him, I was uncannily reminded of the emotions that I felt towards him.
This is a song about obsession. That's the best way I can put it. Someone who has a sick control over their love and want to control them. Someone who is also justified of this, believing it to be for their own good. But the sad thing about it is, their control is not failing, most likely.
Broken promises all the way. The title pretty much says everything. I don't agree about the obsession-comment at all, this girl has been betrayed by someone who promised her everything and now she wants revenge. I know it's not supposed to but this song makes me happy.
This song reminds me of PJ Harvey's Rid of Me- the singer is still in love with the person they're talking about, but they've been terribly betrayed. The singer alternates between loving endearments; obsessive, stalkerish behavior; and a desire to make the other person hurt as much as they do. It's a song that has multiple levels of emotion in it, something that not many artists achieve.
This song reminds me of my ex-friend and her asshole boyfriend -.-
just like i feel to my boyfriend... forever together, XD...
This song is narrated by two people in a relationship. One is telling the other how devoted they are to them, and the other is calling them a liar. I think EA mentioned that this song was for any girl who has been lied.
I think this is about an abusive relationship. The parts where it talks about hurting the person sounds like the excuse of an abuser. It's a twisted love tale. The main POV is, 'I love you, so I'm going to hurt you.' Like I said, screwed up love tale.
Emilie Autumn is showing love from the point of view of the abusive person.
The verses are all the lies the "lover" has told the person. The verse is the lover revealing his/her self. and the "liar" parts are the person yelling at the "lover" (well... not technically a lover anymore... but w/e.) I'm not sure who's POV the "are you suffering" parts are, but I think they're the "lover's"
