My Apocalypse Lyrics
Theres a place that ive found as far as i can see
this place lies within the depths of my dreams
in a garden surrounded by fire and trees
through the smoke a silhouette, I can barely see
theres a man with an axe standing in the rain,
looked me straight my eyes this is what he had to say..
never fall asleep! you wont wake up
destroy the guillotine! before he does
i walk with shadows, you have to find a better way!
i walk with shadows, the questions i will never say!
hiding from the gallows, they keep me safe and sound!
so i walk with shadows, the ways of burning down this house!
end transmission the satellites are down i need an earthquake to shake this pity off the ground
just dont trust these liars at the end
ones that have these answers for
never fall asleep! you wont wake up
destroy the guillotine! before he does
i walk with shadows, you have to find a better way!
i walk with shadows, the questions i will never say!
hiding from the gallows, they keep me safe and sound!
so i walk with shadows, the ways of burning down this house!
end transmission the satellites are down
i need an earthquake to shake this pity off the ground
all the vibrant colours i see
and the shades that fill the grey!
pain the pain, pain the pain, pian the pain, pain the pain, pain!
hiding from the gallows, you have to find a better way!
i walk with shadows, the questions i will never say!
hiding from the gallows, they keep me safe and sound!
so i walk in shadows, the ways of burning down this house!
this place lies within the depths of my dreams

whats funny is that someone actually said that Fall Out Boy rocked hard. fall out boy does not rock hard. fall out boy barely manages rock, and does so poorly.
agreed. fall out boy isn't even rock, it's like...pop? wanna be rock, perhaps?

I think he's talking about himself here, not a nightmare. "Theres a place that ive found as far as i can see this place lies within the depths of my dreams " when you dream, you're dreams tell you things you only know in your subconscious mind, trying to bring it to your attention. "I walk with shadows! you've got to find a better way" maybe meaning he has to find a better way of figuring himself out, rather than sleeping? and "destroy the guillotine before he does" ack. I had such a good explination for what he's talking about but then my dumb ass forgot it. the man with an axe could possibly be himself, and maybe he fears finding who he really is I'm probably way off, but personally, I like to believe songs have a deeper meaning than just whats on the surface.
I have a tendency of looking into things too much but this song is pretty tight.
my apocalypse= the end of my world.
i got this idea of like a man 'sleeping' when he has actually like passed on. the part where it says never fall asleep i got this mad image of like this chick trying to wake the guy up but he wont wake up
then when it does the whole ‘pain’ part she like has a mad breakdown cuz she realizes that he wont wake up.
The bit describing the garden is while he is asleep; but hes also moving on
When it says that he walks in the shadows I got this idea of the boy walking though a forest and the forest is like the path he needs to follow to find where his spirit or whatever winds up at.
For photography we have to make a video of something to do with release. Seeing as death is a form of release; ive decided to turn this song into a film clip using all the ideas I just mentioned; C=
Cant wait to see how it turns out;
i got these lyrics from the cd booklet so if there wrong dont have a bitch to me about it kay?
there might be typos in there tho
This is NOT about a nightmare or anything.. Ronnie explained it on stage one time.. its on youtube... its about friends who arent really your friends at all, they just want a piece of what you have, and friends that are there by your side all the time..

They look right to me... I heard some different stuff in some parts, but reading your, it all looks right.
can somebody explain or give their opinion on what this biatch is trying to say?
I think it's simple, actually. I think it's basically just him telling a story. Just a fictional semi-horror story of a ghost-like figure.
i first heard this song on my boyfriend's myspace.
this may be totally wrong, but maybe this is inspired by a nightmare. "never fall asleep! you wont wake up" i just think that its implying that he had a nightmare, and realized that life is morbidly similar.
the horror story theme is apparent though. that's obvious.
god i love this song..
I have a feeling that the lyrics are about someone who's about to be executed. the line, "destroy the guillotine! before he does" I think it's about making the person unable to be killed and the line "hiding from the gallows, they keep me safe and sound!" is like him saying, im trying not to die.
I may be wrong, but that was my guess.
the horror story fits, im not sure about the ghost figure, it's a good idea and I'm not here to judge.
