This song is great and I love the way he says This pain could all be over, if i just blinked an eye

ah, the feeling of wanting death so badly and having some small thing that won't let you do it.

i don't have any idea what its about. only that maybe he went through a depression and thats what it was like?

it's sort of suicidal. it's like he's contemplating it and these are the thoughts running through his mind. but he just can't seem to pull the trigger..

It is obviously the story of a man lost and wandering. I agree, it is sort of suicidal, like I could let it all go right now if only I did this, but somewhere I find the strength to pull through another shitty day. Maybe in time, I'll find my way. It's kind of a hopeless song.

i agree with NGTohmaSeguchi, it's about a person who is in pain and has to hold on, every day, it sounds like a depression to me, also because he feels guilty about everything wrong in his life. and this person is saying that he/she could end it right now, commit suicide, but something keeps holding him and doesn't let him give up. i feel it like inside, though he knows he will never be happy, he still has some really weak hope that maybe that's not true, because even if all the chances are against him, it doesn't end to be impossible, and so he keeps holding to that little hope he has, and keeps fighting. "Maybe in time, I'll find my way."

i have always thought this song had something to do with jesus, because of the if i just blinked an eye part, because in the bible, all jesus had to to was blink towards the heavens and the angels would have destroyed the world, or so it says in the bible. haha but yeah, ive just always thought of that when i hear this song. great song though

I think this song is about someone being trapped within their own mind, constantly living for only themselves. No matter what this person does, he can not find anyway to ease the pain as referred to by the word "blind". They also realize that in the "blink of an eye" they could end all their suffering by ending their own life thus "washing the world away". Despite all of this, there is some distant hope barely visible this person clings to which keeps him from ending everything making the quick escape impossible.

All the while this person is trying to hide away from the world out of either fear or pure sorrow, there is still a part of himself which is constantly looking and desperately trying to seek some meaning in their life which lets them "find their way".
