Back to sloth and sleeping binges
Self defeating outburst, cringes
Thoughts get rusty, creaky hinges
Lost that box of clean syringes

Stuck to the ceiling I'm in view
Can't shake the notion I'm becoming you
The look from above same as below
Sign up for high, free dose of low

The Jig is up, I'm the one
Manipulate the ones I love
Light my path, reveal the beacon
Where's my balance
Can't stop thinking
Can't stop thinking
Can't stop thinking
Stop

I wear my soul on my sleeve at night
(Searching for substance)
I lose control of my autonomic mind
(Waiting for the impulse)
And I saw the rage burning in your eyes
(Your thoughts intangible)
Follow me down, we'll get paralyzed
(Around the winding road)

Hang on, hang on
Don't lose composure now
Hang on hang on
Feed into the miracle
Don't be fucking cynical
Hang on, hang on
Don't lose composure now
Hang on hang on
Girl don't be so difficult
Come here let's get physical

Sinus pressure getting older
I like weight upon my shoulders
Here I live inside this cd
Tell your friends he's super creepy

Weirded out a simple human
Confused by words arrange and move them
Into spaces no apparent meaning
Eat this song your ears are greedy

Cut out this conversation, desperation, now
Losing admiration, holding onto accidents

(I can turn it off again, I can smile on a whim)
What have I done, what have I done?
(I can make believe in him, the function in the algorithm)
That calls for your attention?
(I can turn it off again, I can smile on a whim)
What have I done, what have I done?
(I can make believe in him, the function in the algorithm)
That keeps you hanging on?

I wear my soul on my sleeve at night
(Searching for substance)
I lose control of my autonomic mind
(Waiting for the impulse)
And I saw the rage burning in your eyes
(Your thoughts intangible)
Follow me down, we'll get paralyzed
(Around the winding road)

Hang on, hang on
Don't lose composure now
Hang on hang on
Feed into the miracle
Don't be fucking cynical
Hang on, hang on
Don't lose composure now
Hang on hang on
Girl don't be so difficult
Come here let's get physical

this is about jonny craig's current struggle to learn how to read

    "I can't believe these long words "

    he's overwhelmed by big words.

    "Come from many national absurd"

clearly a filler line of frustration.

"Hope, defeat, the line, the loss "

he HOPES to learn how to read.he experiences DEFEAT when he can't.THE LINE he attempts to read is overwhelming.THE LOSS of motivation.

jon mess wins for creative skills unmatched and untouched

    My Interpretation

My interpretation is of a woman who was abused so she turned to god for help

"Well then you said you can do this on your own I'm sorry baby I can't aid you (And then you say, hands down, right now, I'll let this go) You well now it's up to god to save you

Save you From all of those bruised, bruised and battered wounds"

i think that the screaming is the voice of god (to me, thats the only way it all makes sense)

while jonny doesn't believe in god

"And now you see the sky has turned black Why do think everyone has turned back It's cause he's gone"

he's gone meaning god is gone and there is no hope for anyone.

okay so thats what i think but it's pretty far out there, i hope someone posts a more accurate meaning soon lol

I reckon this song is about the destruction of nature and, in general, any good in this world at the hands of humanity.

love the par when he sings "Well then you said you can do this on your own I'm sorry baby I can't aid you (And then you say, hands down, right now, I'll let this go) You well now it's up to god to save you" . . . But anyways Im just throwing ideas out there..but i think the first verse is about A guy and A gril breaking up. And the guy forgot all about it her... Then sees her and it hits him that he really missed her. But IDK! IDC I love this song.

Overall about difficult moments of disappointment and vulnerability. Having hope and longing, while remaining optimistic for the future. Encourages the belief that with each new morning there is a chance for things to improve. The chorus offers a glimmer of optimism and a chance at a resolution and redemption in the future. Captures the rollercoaster of emotions of feeling lost while loving someone who is not there for you, feeling let down and abandoned while waiting for a lover. Lost with no direction, "Now I'm up in the air with the rain in my hair, Nowhere to go, I can go anywhere" The bridge shows signs of longing and a plea for companionship. The Lyrics express a desire for authentic connection and the importance of Loving someone just as they are. "Just in passing, I'm not asking. That you be anyone but you”

I Can't Go To Sleep
Wu-Tang Clan
This song is written as the perspective of the boys in the street, as a whole, and what path they are going to choose as they get older and grow into men. (This is why the music video takes place in an orphanage.) The seen, and unseen collective suffering is imbedded in the boys’ mind, consciously or subconsciously, and is haunting them. Which path will the boys choose? Issac Hayes is the voice of reason, maybe God, the angel on his shoulder, or the voice of his forefathers from beyond the grave who can see the big picture and are pleading with the boys not to continue the violence and pattern of killing their brothers, but to rise above. The most beautiful song and has so many levels. Racism towards African Americans in America would not exist if everyone sat down and listened to this song and understood the history behind the words. The power, fear, pleading in RZA and Ghostface voices are genuine and powerful. Issac Hayes’ strong voice makes the perfect strong father figure, who is possibly from beyond the grave.

Same ideas expressed in Fitter, Happier are expressed in this song. We're told to strive for some sort of ideal life, which includes getting a good job, being kind to everyone, finding a partner, getting married, having a couple kids, living in a quiet neighborhood in a nice big house, etc. But in Fitter, Happier the narrator(?) realizes that it's incredibly robotic to live this life. People are being used by those in power "like a pig in a cage on antibiotics"--being pacified with things like new phones and cool gadgets and houses while being sucked dry. On No Surprises, the narrator is realizing how this life is killing him slowly. In the video, his helmet is slowly filling up with water, drowning him. But he's so complacent with it. This is a good summary of the song. This boring, "perfect" life foisted upon us by some higher powers (not spiritual, but political, economic, etc. politicians and businessmen, perhaps) is not the way to live. But there is seemingly no way out but death. He'd rather die peacefully right now than live in this cage. While our lives are often shielded, we're in our own protective bubbles, or protective helmets like the one Thom wears, if we look a little harder we can see all the corruption, lies, manipulation, etc. that is going on in the world, often run by huge yet nearly invisible organizations, corporations, and 'leaders'. It's a very hopeless song because it reflects real life.

Punchline
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran sings about missing his former partner and learning important life lessons in the process on “Punchline.” This track tells a story of battling to get rid of emotions for a former lover, whom he now realized might not have loved him the same way. He’s now caught between accepting that fact and learning life lessons from it and going back to beg her for another chance.

Page
Ed Sheeran
There aren’t many things that’ll hurt more than giving love a chance against your better judgement only to have your heart crushed yet again. Ed Sheeran tells such a story on “Page.” On this track, he is devastated to have lost his lover and even more saddened by the feeling that he may never move on from this.
